The only thing that playing video games really taught me wasn't a factoid, an algorithm, or a technique. It was a feeling - raw and unreasonable obsession.

The experience of grind. 12-16 hour days of relentless play, with no other goal than to achieve the pinnacle. Why? Because it was fun. Because you knew you could.

And it never felt like work.
